U.S. Women win gold in soccer ...

Softball will be gone from the Olympics ... and not soon enough. American baseball is no longer dominant.

But the Women's soccer team, that lost its star scorer in a warm-up game just before the Beijing games, beat Brazil for the gold medal.

Our American women are doing us proud (except for softball).

Soccer, Volleyball, Beach Volleyball, Basketball, Gymnastics, Fencing, Swimming ... pulling in medals !

great job USA !

    Solo was simply telling the truth after that loss. No way Scurry should have played. Scurry was too old and slow.
    Looks like Solo taught the world that she was right about what she said. Good for you Hans Solo.

    American women getting silver in softball ? there are only like 5 countries that play softball ... I'm proud of their effort, but its not a big result.

    Every country plays soccer ... I think its a BIG difference.

    Now if our men could just get the lucky break ... but the men send all their million dollars stars - Argentina (Lionel Messi), Brazil (Ronaldinho), ...
