I don't check MLB standings too often because, well, my Giants and A's have been out of it since Day 2. But I checked today and saw that the Yankees and Red Sox are both trailing the Rays in the AL East and Red Sox are only 1/2 game up on Minnesota in the Wild Card.
Is the Ultimate Fate Of The Universe at hand if the Red Sox AND Yankees don't make the playoffs?
