I have not gotten email confirmation, but just saw a banner go across the bottom of CNBC screen saying the Ebay is lowering it's fixed price auction fees. Business must have slowed significantly after the price rise

ebay fees are bleeding its sellers dry. plus throw in the paypal fees, and it's double the pain.
The article I read in the paper this week suggested that eBay was planning to eliminate the option of paying by cash or check, ostensibly to "reduce fraud". Seems like the focus is on pumping up PayPal profits....
Some points off the top of my head:
Some listing fees are going down
Buy it Now listings are going to 30 days
Instituting fixed shipping cost for media categories
FVF fees likely to rise (no mention as to how much)
No changes for regular auctions

<< <i>Am I reading that chart right? Are they taking a flat 12% now? >>
*IF* you decide to use their flat fee listing type.
I'm planning to still use my Store, which is not affected by the new fees. The new fees are for auctions and fixed-price (non-stores) listings.
The bigger issue the banning of all checks and money orders... it doesn't affect me directly, as 98% of everything I buy and sell is paid for through PayPal, but there are a few sellers that I buy from regularly that don't accept PayPal or credit cards. I wonder if they will change, or simply stop selling on eBay entirely... would suck to see more sellers leave due to eBay's moronic policies.

So much horse manure!
I reckon that all the Attorneys-General of every state in America, plus the federal Attorney-General in Washington,D.C. needs to be notified,so that they can do FleaBay under both federal & states' laws.
Personally,I'd be better off registering on Coinday if I were you!

Except for the fact that that particular site has crashed...
p.s. Are there any buyers there? I mean, once it gets fixed...

Same here.
Besides, I had never heard of coinbay until now, and you actually think we'd all be better off listing there? You're joking, right?
And even though I have grievances with ebay, there's practically no other game in town...
...that is, if you want a lot of traffic to see your items.
