Story of a honest e-Bay seller: olsonarch

Currently I am trying to complete a Topps '55 All-American set in PSA 6 or higher for most of the cards. Last weekend I put bids on about 25 cards that were psa 6 and 7 from that set. So when one of the cards that I won came in four days I was happy to see it, until I saw it was a psa 5.5. I checked the listing 1955 TOPPS ALL AMERICAN #63 CHARLIE JUSTICE PSA 6 EXMT! and saw the heading said PSA 6, but I missed in the scan the tag read 5.5. I left positive feedback even though my response wasn't that positive. The seller saw the feedback and gave me a full refund without me asking for one. I asked the seller for his address so I could send the card back to him and he said to keep it.
I had a similar incident like this happen to me when I won a '69 Topps basketball card. The listing said psa 7 but in the scan it was a psa 7oc. I told the seller about it and he told me to go scratch. That is why this surprised me. As you can see, sometimes I set a snipe without taking a good look at the card and holder which is a bad habit I know.
I just wanted to say thank you olsonarch!

Good conduct by buyer and seller.

    ........

The OC seller would have been dealing with PayPal, if I was the buyer.

BUT, I would have looked at the flip before I bid. image

Why would your first reaction be to leave a left handed feedback instead of contacting the seller and letting him know of the listing error? Did you just make the poor assumption that he would say "too bad"? Hopefully you have learned something from this, and wont act in haste like that again.

You hit it right on the head Nick. I got home from work and was tired and in not of the best of moods when this happened. I should have contacted the seller first, but I let my anger get the best of me. That is why I made this thread, an attempt to make it up to the seller for the "left handed" feedback I left.

You can add another comment to the feedback I think.

    Steve, I did:

Listed as a 6 got a 5.5, guess it's on me for not looking at the tag.
