Thank you Publius!

Joe is such a nice dude, when he went to the national, he picked through some Emmitt cards and sent me a nice little stack of them.

One of the coolest one's would have to be this 2000 Pacific canvas card.

Thanks again Joe image

The guy can buy and sell third world countries for laughs, I sure hope he can afford a few 25 cent Emmitt Smith cards.

Yes, you're right Nick. He also bought me Jamaica and even threw in Usain Bolt just for the heck of it. I would have mentioned that but really didn't want to brag.

FALSE. But seriously, PUBElius is one of the good guys on here! image

Matt, you guys ready for the Storm tomorrow? Looks like it should just be a baby with 70-80 mph winds, but I know that can still do some damage if it stirs up some tornadoes or hits the house just right. That's what happened to us back in 2004 with Charley, Frances and Jeanne. Made it through Charley alright, but Frances left us pretty much homeless after a tiny little tornado swept through our cul-de-sac while houses a block over from us suffered minimal stuff like a torn screen or shingle damage. We've been lucky over here since then, so hopefully we can get through Fay and the rest of the season unscathed.

We are as ready as we are gonna get Mike image

We have the basic necessities. I also bought a nice generator for the storms you described but we never had to use it.

It looks to be going south of us but you never know.

Joe's a great guy . . . even though he has to use a step stool to look into the showcases.

I hope you don't come down with a case of herpes or mono from doing that. Be careful, Lee.

Matt- Joe is a very strange but generous man, although be advised he might expect certain type of "special favors" from you down the road.
  • I haven't heard many bad things about joe

Good to hear that you're ready. It does seem to be moving south and taking a "charley" type of route, which is good for you guys up in the Tampa Bay area but bad for us since we'll be getting that NE part of the storm over here on the east coast. No school tomorrow or maybe even the next day so I guess I can't complain too much image

I was so excited I thought for sure I would be taking off tomorrow because of the coming storm. I at least want to get some nice soaking rain out of it.

I'll end up staying home anyway. It's way past my get up for work bedtime image

    VERY inside joke, thanks Art.

Your welcome Matt, you actually started it a long time ago sending me that Jerry Rice phone card.

Met Joe at the National this year.
To call him an "odd duck" would do a disservice to ducks everywhere.

Good to hear he has a good heart even after all the cruel tricks mother nature played on him ... image

You're actually right. You can't please everyone. I had people yelling at me one time because I was cutting the grass at the condo they lived at in a rain storm. Then, a few weeks later it poured again so I went home. They then proceded to complain that I didn't cut their grass image

    People are dumb!

Oh no! He looks much, much older in person. And the white hair is now tied back in dreads. I think that he thinks he's a Cauca-farian. He was listening to Mozart played on steel drums on his Sony Walkman (hasn't advanced to the iPod, yet I guess).
