What ever happened to Ryan Rutter?

Anybody know what ever became of him? I rememeber he set up a couple of times at the Philly show carrying vintage unopened material. I also think he also helped GAI with there unopened pack grading. I found it strange he tried to look like Mark Murphy (with the crew cut and suit) and did the unopened stuff as well. Anybody deal with him ie good or bad experiences.

Are you for sure he died? Wow, I'm shocked, if that's the case. I was not aware of his passing. Way too young.

RIP GURU
I mean, I don't have huge money in my collection but still, the time and the money I have spent sometimes makes me wonder.
Not thinking of stopping today, but it sure makes me think sometimes. The day I sell all my cards is the day i'm done with this hobby.
I don't want to wake up 30 years down the line and say where did they time go, ya know.
Just what i'm feeling right now, sorry to hear about the guy.

Well you could get run over by a bus tomorrow as well. Live your life and don't worry about what you can't control.
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
Yes, collecting does make me happy and it sometimes takes my mind off of bad things that happen in life. I love it, but sometimes it makes me think am I spending to much time on it, but than again collecting has kept me away from other stuff such as gambling

Don't start busting packs, now!

I really can't understand people who break packs and boxes, its much better buying singles I think.

How does this relate to the thread?
He will be missed!!
<< <i>Ryan did pass away last September. He had luekemia which he battled for a few years and died from complications due to his illness. He was a great guy and such a sense of humor he had. He was like a brother to me and was the love of my sister's life. He was a huge part of our family and is missed so much by so many people. He; was wax from the past for the person who asked if that was him. How he loved his cards!!!! >>
To Ryan.....
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
He was a good guy BTW - I liked talking with him.
On the hobby - all and all - it'll bring ya joy and prolong rather than shorten your life IMO.
I plan on collecting till I go - and then I'm taking it with me!
