What is the most expensive card you've pulled from a pack?

I've never been super lucky with pack rips. I would say my best card came a few months ago when I pulled a Mint and centered 81 Montana. I don't rip allot of modern packs so I really have never given myself the opportunity to pull a rare auto.

Pulled an 86/87 Jordan rookie from a pack as well.
the 1887 cuba flag card from allen and ginter this year is the best pull ive had in a while-i wonder if fidel will auto it for me
5 packs of 99 Black Diamond! Sold for 1300 bucks al long time ago, probably would get more today. I pulled the Tiger SPA RC Auto out of
5 packs of 01 SPA sold for 1200 bucks. My biggest baseball pull would probably be an Ichrio 1/1 sold for over 900 bucks, however probably
my best pull ever came from basketball, which I don't do a whole lot of, last year I pulled a Jordan/Lebron deal auto card from Trilogy...1000
dollar book value (plus I still have the card!)

<< <i>Oh, I thought it was from a box for a second. I don't think I was ever lucky at pcks, maybe a $20 card I would guess. I did pull a $9,000 Jordan from a box, but this is for packs and its a long story anyways.

6 Griffey Jr's from one box of '89 Upper Deck, including two in one pack (top card and bottom card in the pack)
Bought one pack of Leaf when they had the gold insert cards (one per pack), and pulled the Frank Thomas Gold card.
'83 Fleer Mint Boggs Rookie
'83 Fleer Mint Sandberg Rookie
Nothing too crazy.
<< <i>I sure would like to see a $9,000 jordan??? >>
I sure would love to see one too, lol. I'm not talking about now, this was back in 1999-00. I pulled Michael Jordan UD Final Floor autographed wood card, it was #FF!A, it was a redemption.
I bought a box of 1999-00 Spx and I got a hot box, which included a Steve Francis auto/500 rookie card and like 5 or 6 other rookies. That was the only hot box I ever got but boy was it a good one! There was only supposed to be 1 rookie per box but I got like 7 or 8 and that Jordan card. I was expecting to get other stuff like dual jersey auto cards but no such luck, I figured while it was a hot box I might as well gotten all the best cards from the product lol, but it didn't happen, well it almost did. That Francis was selling for around $800!

Now if you are talking about cards that went up after being pulled, I hit 3 Tom Brady rookies out of 2000 SP Authentic... then again, I opened almost 5 cases. Sadly I sold them all off at around $100 - $150 before they exploded.
Snorto~
A Munson from a 72 OPC wax that graded PSA 9.
An Alomar from a 1975 wax that graded PSA 10 (1 of 2).
A PSA 10 1978 Rose from a rack.
Two 1980 Hendersons from wax that graded PSA 9.
Those are the ones that come to mind.
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
The best I've pulled was from the 2001 (?) UD World Series Heroes packs. One morning on the way to work, I stopped at a gas station and bought one pack which held a Mickey Mantle jersey card. I've stopped collecting gu cards, but that is one I will never sell. As far as value, I have no idea, the last I knew a few years ago it was like $120.

Same here Rube , That is the luck I have as well with packs .
My wife has better luck than I so I usually let her rip most of them.
Edited to add: I think the best card I pulled from a pack was from 07 Opening day Topps , a Willy Taveras printing plate and I don't think that is worth much monitarily .

Wow, that is one SWEET card!

Would you be so kind as to answer this question? I'm sure there are a few curious minds out there.
I told them not to succumb to the seller's price right away; ask if he'll take a little less. (Of course, kids are too embarrassed to do that!)
Anyway, my oldest son isn't gone over a minute; comes back and shows me what he bought: a couple packs of 1994 Upper Deck Baseball cards.
He said, "here Dad, you open one". I obliged and couldn't believe that it contained the dual-signed Mantle/Griffey Jr card.
Needless to say, I didn't have it for long.
My son still has the card, but I pulled it.

Sure thing Whammy. I once pulled an Eric Davis and an Orel Hershiser from the same Topps rack back in 1985.
Current obsession, all things Topps 1969 - 1972
Back in 2006 bought my 3rd case of Heritage 1957 design....pulled a barry bonds Black Refractor. Sold it raw on ebay for 225 BIN, used the money plus 50 of my own to purchase a 1968 topps Superstars PSA 8 multiplayer card of mays/killebrew/mantle.
"If I ever decided to do a book, I've already got the title-The Bases Were Loaded and So Was I"-Jim Fregosi
...back in '82, I pulled an '82 Donruss Ripken from a pack. I held on to it for over 20 years, and for some reason, despite all my other cards from that era getting beat to heck, this one survived and was graded PSA 9 in 2002. It sold for $90 without a scan.
86 Topps Roy rookie, although gum stained.
Really, nothing huge. The typical, 89 UD Griffey, 82 Topps Ripken, 83 Boggs, etc.
I've got some 84/85 OPC packs coming, an Yzerman would be nice.
A Montana rc or Bird-Magic would be fun.
The stories about the various patch cards, autographs and 1/1s are entertaining, but because they're so hard to pull, I really can't identify with any of them. Maybe it's just me.
But anyway, my most expensive base set card I've ever pulled I guess would be a 1993 Upper Deck Derek Jeter, which was recently submitted and came back Gem mt 10.
when I was a kid I pulled a Tom Burgmeier card
Because hockey season is just around the corner (and I want to finish the topps version of set) ...
The most memorable was a 1971 trip to Toronto, Canada where my dad gave us money for souvenirs. I chose to buy a pack of 71-72 O-Pee-Chee hockey.
I pulled four Hall of Famers from a pack of 8 cards:
Gordie Howe Special - Red Wings
Ed Giacomin - Rangers
Jacques Plante - Maple Leafs
Guy Lafleur - Canadians (rookie)
I still love these cards !
Had a friend pull a Staubach rookie from a pack, which I bought and sent in...think it graded an 8. (and sold long ago...)
Thanks,
David (LD_Ferg)
1985 Topps Football (starting in psa 8) - #9 - started 05/21/06
