Which has the smaller buy/sell spreads now - Gold American Eagles or "common gold"?

It used to be that common gold Eagles and/or Half Eagles were the only game in town and their buy/sell spreads were always higher than AGEs.

Has that changed? Where are the best sources for checking buy/sell spreads on common gold?

I don't think the premium for AGE's has shrunk any. Heritage is probably the best source for gold bullion price on the circ $10's and $20's. If you contact Doug Baliko he can put you on their daily mailing list. I found it interesting that they were paying $175 over spot Friday for Proof AGE's. Somebody wants them bad.

There's a bidding war going on between them and Bob Lecce. It's great time to sell the proofs if you want out.
