1 Day Auction ONLY ..... Why????

Not sure what this seller's strategy is?

Is he just trying to lure buyers into his store on the day that a store item is ending or what?

    A 1 day auction on a reprint. That's wierd!
  • I guess its to get people to look at his other items.

Were do these reprints "that don't say reprint on them" come from? Who is making them?

I think selling these cards to people that will then resell them as authentic or "I found them in an attic" but know nothing about them is wrong. IMO, its like selling the gun to the bad guy and then cleaning your hands, I think they should stamp these reprints with something that says reprint.

Were do you think the reprints that the scammers sell come from?

  • Many were printed in the late 70s and 80s before the laws governing reprints changed. Then there is the at home print shops.

    I think so, too.
Folks Who Bite Get Bitten. Folks Who Don't Bite Get Eaten.
  • I agree on the bottom of the back it looks like a piece of tap or paper covering part of the card.
  • Reprints are listed on 1-day auctions because it usually takes eBay about 24 hours to remove a listing after it is reported.
  • And people see it only has a few hours left and pull the trigger without reading the complete listing, and BINGO they have paid good money for crap

Seems like a reasonable answer to me.
