Anyone buying this story? Sure is a pretty good selling price for a card that has been butchered at the hands of a trimmer.

PSA loves idiots like this who send them obvious trimmed cards. They take 5 seconds to grade.

A. He was telling the truth and he didn't trim it and it came like that from the factory. Maybe he dosen't know about the whole trimming of cards thing?

OR

B. He figured to take a shot at the PSA graders and hope that they came to work drunk?

There is no way that came that way from the factory. Absolutely no way. It is trimmed at the top and the bottom. Same with the Williams. How could he not know about the whole trimming of cards, but know enough to have them graded?

Well, it really don't matter if he trimmed it or not , PSA has it as, {Evid. of trim}

Having said that , I know quite a few people that have sent cards in right out of the pack and when it came back trimmed they were like Impossible ! because they know damn well they didn't trim it .

Looking at that card , it is so hacked up, if it was trimmed whoever is doing that work better try their hand at something else .

Who knows what exactly is going on , on the other end of the PC , this world is so screwed up with so many looking to screw you in so many ways

It doesn't matter if it was trimmed or miscut by the factory it will never get into a holder due to it being trimmed or min size. If someone wants to buy his little sob story so be it, it's their money they are wasting.

It looks to me like a kid trimmed it with a pair of scissors. So I certainly think it's plausible that he trimmed it when he was a kid and simply doesn't remember after 50+ years.

In 1961, when I was seven years old, a neighbor gave me a 1956 Ted Williams. Since the 1956 cards were larger than in other years, it didn't fit well together with my other cards, so I trimmed it with scissors. My cards then sat in storage from around 1970 until 1990. In the mid-1990s, I showed it to a local card dealer who estimated its value at 5% Beckett. I can't remember if he actually bought it from me (for $20 or less). It's possible that it's mixed in with my other cards.

Interesting way of trying to pull a fast one. What packs can I buy where the cards have been badly trimmed with what looks like kiddie scissors? Wait, don't answer that--I don't need any questionable packs of 75 Topps Minis.

It's a shame he didn't take the respectable route and say something like, "I cut these down with scissors as a kid. Oops. Oh well."

Not that I'd buy any story from that seller anyway -- what sort of senior citizen that needs to scrap money for meds submits cards to PSA? Not just that, but in multiple submissions!
