Does this special include the star cards as well or just commons? I'm putting together another submission and will consolidate those with the commons.

    Thanks for the heads up

I don't see it either. Where in the heck are the Pop-Up Ads when you need them?
  • Options
What can I tell you guys? The pop up ad smacked me in the head about ten times and it was on the Registry home page. They probably took it down to "correct" it. Aren't you glad I copied and pasted it so we can lock in the best deal? image

Was there for me earlier in the day yesterday and then in the evening I couldn't find it either.
    Thought it was just me.

I hope the offer's still good because I just sent a package out yesterday with "70's Registry Special" on it and submitted payment at $6.00 per card. Once I saw it in the afternoon I finished filling out my invoices and ran (actually I drove) to the POST OFFICE before they closed.

Where are you guys finding 72 topps to submit to PSA? Are they ones that you collected and are sending in as funds become available, off ebay, or do you go to local card shops and go through the cards?

    Just wondering.

Is this special good for all of February?

    Dale,

What do you mean "jobs"? This word is strange to me. Hold on... left my mint julip on the verranda. There thats better... As for me, I just have the butler pack up the cards and he has the accountant send a check and poof! More graded cards. Just have your butler do the same. image

    Dale,

I just sent in the last of my raw 1972 cards, and I picked through most of the cards around here. I have to wait for the National in Chicago before I stock up again (I already put in for my vacation time at work). Speaking of work I'm a Quality Systems Coordinator for a Thermo-Set Composites factory in NE Ohio. However, funding for my cards came from the money I put away while I played professional Basketball overseas. To tell you the truth that nest egg is just about gone.image

Dale> Actually, I'm sort of in the same boat as Carlos in that I just recently submitted the last of my gradeable 72s. Order for 114 72s (and 45 1975s) rec'd on 2/6. I may go to a local dealer and search through his 72s. I've already been through them 3 or 4 times, but you never know. Otherwise, I'm just waiting for the Sun-Times show in March (and then National) to reload my 72s. In the mean time I may pick up a vending box of 79s and submit them to get in on the special.

As for what I do. . .I'm a Macintosh (computer) technician/consultant in the Chicagoland area.

I have been trying to find information about the Chicago show in March but can't find anything. Does anybody have a website with information on the show? I'm a realtor in Evansville, IN and I'm not sure what a butler or a varanda is.

Chicago will host four major shows in 2002. All events will be at the Donald E Stephens Convention Center. Located in Rosemont, the facility is only about 15 minutes from O'Hare.

    1 - The spring Sun-Times show is March 23-25.
    2 - SportsFest will be June 13-16
    3 - National will be August 7-11
4 - The fall Sun-Times show will be November 15-17

This information can be found by viewing PSA's "Show Schedule" and selecting the appropriate state.

I'm sitting on a complete set of mostly NM-MT/Mint 1972's that I obtained by purchasing about 7 or 8 high grade sets and cherry picking the best cards each time. I also had purchased a series 3 wax box a few years back and opened a handful of packs which yielded some nice cards (and some OC as well). As for work, I'm a technical marketing manager for a Bay Area high tech company.

By the way, I'm still hoping someone can confirm if the '70's $6 grading special includes star cards or is it only valid for commons?

How many times can we use this?? I would rather spread the fees over the next few weeks, then just submit a whole ton at once. Anyone know? thanks for your help.
