I too would rather have a qualifier since its the real grade that PSA has establish for the card. Even though there can be alot of variation for say a PSA6 adding a non-qualifer to a card say a PSA8 is not what I want to see when I'm looking at PSA 6's.
When I do get around to subbing cards I will definately request no qualifiers, I dont think it will ever be an issue though because I will not buy a card that would need one. ( I hope )
I am OK with getting the qualifier. My opinion is that if you have a 6 that would have been an 8 OC, if you try to sell it, people will view it as a very poorly centered 6, and pay a lot less than a 6 should sell for. I think you end up cheating yourself if you do not have the qualifier on the card and try to sell.

There has been alot of cards go from 8 O/C to straight 7 holders. You can get value buying those type of qualifiered cards. Putting NQs on your submission may not get the grades you want. My dealer friends review the card in holder with min grade request. It is one of the few times getting it reviewed in holder is worth it.

I also like the added info, but admit... I rarely buy a card with one.

I have bought lots of Q cards, though. My favorites have been the 9s with
nicely centered fronts and 0/100 backs.

IF I could just get the ability to catch EVERY invisible-micro-wrinkle/crease, I would
have LOTS of 9s and 10s, instead of way too many 5s.
