What is Arnold Palmer's rookie card?

What is Arnold Palmer's rookie card? Not talking about large format such as Sportscasters cards, but rather standard trading card sized cards.

Thanks,

Mike

Well the great and powerful Beckett of Oz lists his RC as the 1990 Pro Set, although that is quite a reach.

I hope you didn't pay too much. That card can be had for a couple bucks and Arnie is a great TTM signer.

edited to add: except golf balls. He doesn't sign them TTM

Also, I'm happy Harrington won the PGA - he signs balls like 20% of the time - Sergio never does. I was rooting for Ben Curtis, he's one of the nicest guys on tour. I feel like if you asked him to buy you a beer after he finished playing, he'd do it. Salt of the Earth type of guy.

I paid $115.00 delivered for it. I checked sportscollectors.net before I bought it and it looks like since early 2006 that Arnie has become a fan of the autopen for cards TTM. There is a nice one on ebay right now for buy it now of $24.00 that looks like a good sig, but it looks like it's secretarially inscribed "To Chad Best Wishes". I fiddled today with using some old commons and sharpies, and seeing if I could succesfully remove inscriptions using finger nail polish remover, but it wasn't consistent. Some times it worked, but other times it completely removed the ink AND the card!! After that failed experiment and after seeing the autopen examples that people have been receiving in the mail, I just decided to buy this one.

Allen, the address for TTM if you want to try it is:

    Arnold Palmer
    9000 Bay Hill Blvd
    Orlando FL 32819

    Good luck!!

Added another Palmer today, at least this one is from the late stages of his career instead of when he was already on the Sr. tour.
