Nice set BNE ! Here is a link BNE Collection . That '58 in 68 DCAM sure is a tough coin. Wish I had it image Has this set been climbing the ranks or did it just pop up?

Thanks! I've been working on this set for about a half year. I put it on the registry about two weeks ago in a fairly complete state. It popped up higher when I got a couple of (disappointing) cross-overs from PCGS. Most of the nicer coins came from Rick Tomaska, which should not a surprise to anyone. There are a couple that I would still like to upgrade. Your set is fantastic, Carl, and sets a very tough standard to meet!

I've been lurking on these boards for some time, so now is probably a good time to say "Howdy!" to you all. I've enjoyed reading the zings, debates of "modern vs. classic" and the war stories.

  • Welcome!! It is so cool that we get to talk to the people that are building these sets. I only crossed over one coin to my proof Jefferson set, though I tried about 5. The only one I was willing to cross at any grade was the one that crossed and it crossed at the same grade image

I bought my 68 DCAMs up quickly in '99 when I was in a buying frenzy. I bought some from Rick. If I could sell them for what he gets today those will have turned out to be my best "investments" so far. Not that I was expecting anything I bought to go up much.

Sorry, but I can't help ugrade that set. If anybody else is interested I have a '55 and '56 in 67 Cam I can part with image

  • BNE - Near the top of the web page is a dark blue set of tabs. If you click the one that says "profile" you can turn on "allow private messages". I wanted to send you a private message about testing the NGC registry.

Now that it isn't private anymore image I was wondering if you wanted to post your '58 Jeff in a registry set over at NGC. I have a '56 which is currently the #1 NGC registry set in one coin. I was thinking your '58 might top it as there were only 3 DCAMS in '58 but 9 in '56.
