It's my 1,000th post! (Any Prussian material?)

I'll be posting some new purchases from Baltimore ANA as soon as possible.
In the meantime, anyone have anything interesting in the Prussian theme? Hohenzollern portrait medals in particular?

An oldie but a goodie

Edited to add: I have many Prussian medals, but few are imaged...here's another.

No Prussian material here at the moment (at least, not that I have pictures of).
Great medals. Thank you!
The obverse of the 1801 is pregnant with meaning. These guys really felt they ruled by the grace of God!
<< <i>Ouch! My meager ANA pickups will look very modest in comparison! >>
Not at all; let's see 'em

Okay, here are some embarrassing examples of my primitive and animal-like photography skills.
A newp from Baltimore:
(No, I don't have a copy stand!)
What can you tell me about my Wilhelm II pigeon medal? I've seen them from time to time, and decided to scoop this one up in Baltimore when I found it in a dealer's inventory.
Conrad, nice frederick d'or! To me, the eagle is evocative of the early gold designs of the United States.
<< <i>Preussen, I really like that Friedrich III zwei mark. Your photo appears to capture some cartwheel luster. >>
Thanks. It's my best photo effort for the coin, but it is still an insult to the amazing appearance of the piece.

The design seems familiar, but I can't place it right now. I'll think on it. -Preussen

Here's a neat 90th-birthday medal of Kaiser Wilhelm I that shows him at various ages.
In my library I have an autographed copy of her bibliography.
She is the maternal grandmother of the current queen of Spain.
The event honored by this medal was significant not only as the wedding of the kaiser's only daughter, but also one of the last great European royal social gatherings before World War I.
Nice medal, but it makes me think of this
