Wow, this 1702 VIGO shilling would sure look nice on the HCV...

Holey 1702 Anne shilling
Would be a cool addition to the Holey Coin Vest, but for 25 quid (50 bucks), he can keep it. Yeesh- that ain't far off Krause price for an UNholed piece, I don't think.
Ah, well. I put it on my watchlist. If I can talk him down, or trade to get it, I might. I would probably not quibble so much at the price if I were swapping with him, but I have other uses for my cash right now.

Pity.
But I emailed him this:
<< <i>Hello, I'm Rob Shinnick in the USA and am a longtime collector of holed world coins.
I love your holey VIGO shilling, but to be candid, the starting bid is far more than I would be willing to pay for it.
Should it go unsold, and you if you found yourself willing to negotiate the price, especially if you're willing to trade for some unholed coins,
I would be interested in it.
Actually, I would be willing to part with your 25 quid (50 dollar) starting price IF it were in trade rather than in cash.
That's assuming I still have enough tradeworthy British coins around here.
(I have plenty of world and US, but only some 20th century British left here, I think. Maybe a Victorian piece or two).
I hope I haven't been offensive- I do like your coin. Maybe you'll sell it, too. But if not, keep me in mind. >>
