Houston (Bellaire) Texas Coin Show Report & Purchase -- 1632 Austria Hall Taler (Dav-3338)

I was very pleased to see very strong attendance and active participation during this weekend's Houston (Bellaire) Texas Coin Show.

I met fellow forum member DizzleCC at the show when it opened at 9am, and spent 3 hours perusing various U.S. and Foreign coins at the show, including a very informative and enjoyable discussion with ANACS Regional Representative Emery Ledoux. I was very pleased to see one of the major TPGS' participating in this great local coin show.

I am interested in hearing from others who attended the show to get their perspectives on the show, and to see some of their new purchases.

I was able to purchase 3 very interesting and diverse coins that I am photographing for upcoming forum posts. Since a couple may end up appearing in the ever popular "Guess the Grade" series, I may hold off on divulging all of the specifics for now... image

Here is a sneak preview of one of this weekend's purchases, which happens to be a very tough coin to photograph... image

Looks like is was a very good show. JCMhouston also picked up a fine coin (British Florin .. check out his earlier post)
I guess I should have driven over from Louisianaimage
Was there a lot of world gold at the show?
