    No information on either one, but I believe the 1819 is a restrike. Does it have edge markings.

    I recognize the Canadian piece but don't have my catalogue handy. It is an unissued medal for The Great Exhibition of 1851 in Hyde Park, London aka The Crystal Palace. I bought mine a few years ago for less than $20 also unissued. Issued pieces command a premium.

    I agree with theboz that the 1819 is likely a restrike - it just doesn't have the color I would expect on a medal from Paris in that timeframe. If there is an edge marking that would help with the date range.
    The medal is of Anne-Germaine Necker. You can find an example of what I would expect an original striking to look like Here Hopefully, an English translation

    Both medals are very nice, I have not seen the Canadian example before.
