Some new Ebay selers are doomed to get neg'd

Dear metalmike_iwtdmbii,

Hey,
Thanks for the positive feedback. I'm sure everyday you can buy a first edition signed by Pete rose for the princly sum of $9.95. I guess I learned a lesson. never give feedback, until someone gives you positive feedback fiist. - americanpride2

MY RESPONSE FOLLOWS.........................................

Dear americanpride2,

Wow. I come home and get on the net and got your last message. A few points. Begging for feedback is not cool. I do not sit by my computer looking at ebay, it's not a big deal to me.If I leave you honest feeback I would give you one star for communication as I had to ask you when the item as going to be shipped, and I had to ask you why my payment had not cleared yet. My duty as a buyer is to pay for a item, and that is it. Feedback is voluntary and I usually leave feed back once a month. I do thank you for the quick safe shipping. I will leave you feedback when I am ready. I used to be a seller so I understand trying to build a solid reputation. A few words of advice a email to a buyer letting them know when a item is shipped would be nice, also If I wanted to be mean I could cancel my payment and say you never shipped the item as it was not sent with delivery conf. as required by Paypal. Not that I would do that. Do you want me to leave honest feedback? I suggest a chill pill. Mike

The seller's behavior is pretty weak, and his expectations of buyers are unrealistic. Metalmike, you said it very well when you explained your responsibility as a buyer. I agree wholeheartedly. When I sell something on eBay, I leave positive feedback immediately upon receipt of payment. As far as I'm concerned, that buyer has fulfilled his obligation. The rest is up to me. Although I appreciate honest, positive feedback from buyers, I don't feel any sense of entitlement to it. If such feedback is left, I'm a happy camper. Still, I'm gonna do my best to ship the item quickly and safely no matter what. That's what that seller should be focused on.

lucky for him I opened his email before my trip to Whskeytown lol, The auto is kind of shaky but a first edition 1970 Pete autobiography is rare signed or not. I am gonna leave him a positive with all 5 stars except for comms and I will prolly leave a 3 for that since he is a newbie unless he puts me on blast then????? Mike

New sellers need FB, in order to escape PayPal prison and other penalties.

Many experienced sellers no longer care too much about FB. At this point, I
am happy to get NO feedback; no news is good news, in the current EBAY
    environment.

Now that I am a retired seller, I love Ebay. Just think- for the same money as a pack costs I can buy a Relic or auto card from allen and ginter. A box is what 85? for the same money I can buy a reds team set and 20 or so hits...............sweet.
