Are any of you members of groups or societies that is directly associated with your area of collecti

I am wondering what groups if any I should join. I am particularly interested token, jetons, and emergency issues. But, I also collect German, Italy, Brazil, and Argentina. I guess I am wondering if there is a benefit to joining any. I am a member of the ANS. I do not really find it as a benefit though.

I would be interested in what you guys think and which groups you are associated with. -Dan

I belong to the ANA, PCGS CC, NGC, California Numismatic Association, and the Royal Numismatic Society of New Zealand.

ANA membership let's you submit coins to NGC and NCS.

NGC membership is sort of redundant with ANA - didn't cost anything as I remember.

PCGS CC is useful for submitting coins and looking at the population reports.

CNA - joined on a whim (got junk mail offering to let me join). The journal is sort of neat. If I were more involved with the organization, it might be interesting. I'll probably not re-subscribe next year.

RNSNZ is cool because it has Royal and Society in the name. I don't see what benefits I get from belonging to the organization, but I like the coins and the journal is neat and the Kiwi's that email me are fun to talk to. I was born in N.Z. and am happy to think a few of my $$ are going to the country of my birth. I like the RNSNZ and will continue to be a member because it makes me happy.

I subscribe to Coin World with Coin Values - that's fun.

I subscribed to Coinage Magazine for a year - didn't find it worth the subscription fee.

World Coin News is on my list to subscribe to.
