OT- eBay/Photobucket question.

How can I place images in an eBay listing from Photobucket? I usually use the eBay system that give one free image but I want to place a couple images in the listing. How the heck can I do this? I tried many different options but when I review my listing, it shows a clickable link, but not the image. Any ideas? Thanks. These are the different options Photobucket gives.

You have to use HTML code to do it. But that means that when you're creating an eBay listing, you have to use their HTML data input method, not the free-text one. HTML is very easy to learn and I'll be more than happy to put together a blank template for you that you could just populate with a description and then paste the location of the images into.

As Roman says you have to click on HTML on your listings description and paste the code using [IMG.] and [/IMG.] tags either side of the pictures html address. Like [IMG.]http://i35.tinypic.com/20i8j7a.jpg[/IMG.] but remove the .'s after the IMG for it to work. I just added the .'s so that this forum didn't display a picture instead of the code.

I removed the last G so an image wouldn't show. I tried this and still no image showed up when I previewed the listing. Only a clickable link.

Yes if you paste that into the html section when you go back to the normal preview you should see your picture. Also if you want to reduce the size of a picture you can use:

just replace your "http..." code istead of the one I used and change the % tage to what ever size (number) you want.

Actually, I believe you have to do it through the <a href="your image file location.jpg"> <img scr="your image file location.jpg></a>

EDIT: I haven't written HTML code in a while, so not 100% sure. Currently rely on FrontPage to spit-out the code after I'm done composing the page.

you don't need to change that code just copy and paste it but replace the htttp in the brackets with your own.
You can post as many pictures as you want:

if you want a space between the picture use
a couple of <br.> <br.><br.>'s, if you need more space. Again remove the . after the br I had to put it in to illustrate.

Photobucket has a direct link and a html link option...........that any news to you?

Here's one tidbit that you'll always need to keep in mind. Though most of the HTML URL address is not case sensitive, the name of your image file, (especilay the extension - ".jpg" or ".JPG"), very well could be.

If you get everything else set up right, but you still cannot get an image, check to make sure you are using the right case for the filename extension.

Though as one person already stated basic HTML is pretty simple, it can at times be a little tricky.

Just create one pic that has all your images edited together and put it in photobucket. Then when insert pick, just select the option for self-hosted and paste in the direct link. And POP you get a free photo.
