The Holliday to the Red Sox thing can only happen if a third team is involved. it would need to be Manny to someone else, someone else sends 3 good high level prospects to Colorado and Colorado sends Holiday to Boston. A straight up deal probably isn't going to happen here. Manny is 36 and looking for 4 years/65 Mil or more. COL isn't paying him that. Someone like the Rays would actually make a ton of sense for a half year go with Manny knowing they're not resigning him - but the Sox won't trade him in the division.
