OK.....what exactly does 'putty' mean. Can't find it in my coin books, but I read it frequently here.

At least that is the theory. I'm not a professional in this field. I repeat only what i've learned here on this forum.
And I don't think a similar technique is used on silver coins, so it was an absurd comment to begin with.
The odd greenish color just made the words jump out.
To reiterate; it does look like a very PRETTY coin to me!
