Fake 1969 Jackson??

I picked up an off-condition 1969 Reggie Jakcson a couple of weeks ago of the bay for a reasonable price but when I compare the back to my other 69s, it seems to be a bit brighter. Is the this a tell tale sign of a fake? Is there anything else I can check for to verify it's authenticity? I really prefer raw cards so grading it is out of the question unless I'm about to sell it..even then, I'd give it a 2 maybe a 3. I tried searching for it but the only thing I could find was a busted link to Beckett.com Thanks for your help guys!

I think you are OK.
Here's all I could find about fake 1969 reggie cards. I guess see if you can make a high resolution scan of the purple area up top and one of the letters in "athletics".

I can appreciate someone letting us know what to look for in as far as spotting counterfeits , but what about the guy that has been trying to make the counterfeits , now he has some tools in the shed when he makes his next print run , making it that much harder to spot the counterfeit ?
I dunno . . . seems like a double edged sword

You can't make the solid line with a laser printer. It's the best way of telling counterfeits. And the forgers already know, they just rely on buyers not knowing.
Just sayin , this stuff can't be as hard to reproduce as Currency and they sem to be doing a damn good job at that all the time .
