Conservation, yes or no.... POLL? NEW images

Here is the deal, got two coins today, The washington was sold as damaged, the Lincoln was sold as BU, not as a proof. Here is the deal, I dont like the look of either coin and have little $ into them, so for the sake of learning and killing time, the question is posed......conserve or not?
Washie, does he need a wash? I know its got some hairlines, just look at the pics, its pretty obvious.

Lincoln, does it need a cleansing?

Family, kids, coins, sports (playing not watching), jet skiing, wakeboarding, Big Air....no one ever got hurt in the air....its the sudden stop that hurts. I hate Hurricane Sandy. I hate FEMA and i hate the blasted insurance companies.

The penny looks okay to me. I would leave it alone, as it seems you could end up making it look worse. I have not had positive experiences 'cleaning' pennies (when I was a child...not now!!!) and simply accept them for what they are.
btw, I am weird because I like them both

the penny wouldn't be hurt sitting in some mineral oil for a couple months...but all in all it looks ok to keep or sell as is
They're both a little rough, but both are cool in their own way.
turn into a processed uglier one.
<< <i>I'd spend 'em
I agree with Preussen
I know the quarter is a hairlined pig, I know it will be worse, but for shlitz and giggles and for others who may think it may help......it wont and for sure I will conserve her and post the afters.
The one cent, or penny as we have come to call it, is a low buck item, but I just gotta know if under the skank is better frost....I doubt it, but I gotta find out. Will post the afters later....gotta take my 16 and 14 year old girls shopping.....ex youth numis both of them.
My thoughts are the quarter was and is worth melt, frosty as heck on the obverse, but a hairlined pig.
The Lincoln......my images stink, but in hand much nicer.
