Microsoft Live cashback question

I've scanned the old topics and didn't see an answer to my question so here goes.

I made my 1st purchase today. Box of A&G for $84.90 w/ 25% cashback and free shipping, paid via paypal and then created my cashback account.

I have no pending cashback.

DOes it update once a day or automatically.

I did everything correctly I believe.

Any input is appreciated

I think it's supposed to take 60 days before you see anything.

When was it 25%? I've been checking periodically today, and unless by some strange coincidence it went to 25% for just a small period of time, they are only offering 20%.

Nick, you are right. It is currently at 20%.

Jon, typically it will post to your account within 24-48 hours. You should get an email through eBay stating that you have cash back shortly after you pay. Once you receive that, you are assured that the cash will end up in your account. Like I said, it typically takes 24-48 hours after you pay.

It's been fluttering between 20%-25% daily lately. Typically your cashback shows in your MS Live account 24-48 hours after your purchase.

It was 25% when I did it this morning!

It has said I have been maxed out the since my Young RC purchase...which isn't true. They owe me like $80 in 27 days, but the cap says $250.

The cap is $250 per purchase. You only get to use it 3 times. You could buy 3 $10 cards and get $2.50 each back or 3 $1000 cards and get $250 each back. Either way you can only use it 3 times.

You can use it three times ($250 max per time) per ebay and paypal account. I have a separate buying and selling account. I maxed it out for my selling account (where I decided to make three purchases instead of exclusively selling), and now it works just fine for my buying account.

I did the same, but I used the same paypal account and it still worked.

Does the discount "Disappear" ?

My wife buys some stuff and I went through the steps tonight and there was no discount at all?

To answer your first question, you need to click on the link in the email you rec'd in my messages. It links the purchase to your cashback account.

I can't get the link to work to sign up for the cash back. I bought an A&G case and have gotten the message through eBay but I when I click on the Get Cash Back button it takes me to a dead link. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do?

Are you a Time Warner / Road Runner customer? If so, try this (I had the same problem you're having, but this fixed it)

Get CashBack not connecting to live.com

If you're a TWC/RR customer and you're unable to access the Get Cash Back button in My Message to create your account, do this:

1) Go to http://ww23.rr.com/prefs.php

2) Select disable redirection (this is the first option - web address redirection service).

Just for the record...I signed up for a Microsoft live cashback account and got the 25% "rebate" and the 10% eBay promo on a July 29 high dollar purchase. The eBay credit was immediate, while the MS credit shows pending in my cashback account (it can be redeemed Sept 28).

I have also noticed the eBay link in MS live search was not working today. When you have a MS cashback account, you have access to online chatting with a service tech. During the chat the tech told me that eBay was doing a "maintenance upgrade" and that the rebate program with eBay is alive and well.

Once the MS/eBay link starts working, I will offer my graded card inventory to interested CU forum members for eBay BIN sales. My prices will NOT be inflated due to the 25% rebate, so this should be a good deal for buyers. My graded card inventory and price list are given in the signature box below.
