coin #1 -- VAM 141. Was an ANACS-63PL. now a pop 2/2, with only 4 total in all grades.
coin #2 -- VAM 141. Was an NGC-63. Nice for a 63.
coin #3 -- VAM 6. Was an ICG-62. Great luster, but marky.

I figured it might be when I bought it, but was very surprised after the grades posted to see how few of them there are.
Thanks for the kind comments everyone!
Now I just have to get them VAMed on the holders.

I recall seeing an unattributed vam 141 in 64PL in a Heritage auction, and I decided that I really wanted it. I probably bid way too much for it, and paid too much for it - - because someone else wanted it badly too. On most days I would not bid more than my perceived value for the item, but I did on that day, I think because I had made a nice score that day on another coin elsewhere. The 64PL was a pop top for a while, and its still in my set, but now there is a 65PL out there.
Did anyone else figure out that it was a 141, or did you score it for generic money?

I'm sure the 2nd high bidder knew it was a vam 141. After all, the tripled star was obvious, and the Heritage photos are so good. Like I said earlier, I paid too much for it. The winning bid was $500 ($575 incl bidder premium). In case you want to take a look, it was lot #8285 in auction #389.
