Do you think this 1873 Liberty Seated Quarter would be Bodybagged?

Do you think this 1873 Liberty Seated Quarter would be Bodybagged? I was wondering if it has been dipped. What grade would you give it?

Yes, sorry....looks dipped and buffed. Nice looking coin though.

Dipping alone won't get it body bagged. Polishing on the other hand will.

Can't tell from the photo. Looks MS with AU58-62ish hairlines in the fields.

yeah, dipping can get a body bag. once or twice it wont, but over dipping a coin to the point of it having no luster might cause ti to go no grade. Its all about whats "market acceptable"

Where would you like to send it for grading? I know about 20 companies that will grade that MS70 and
a few that would even go PF70. What would you like it to grade? I'd be happy to grade it for you and
put whatever you want on the label....want a pedigree??? Just ask 'ol buddy!

Did she just get off the boat?
I am wondering if it is real, that grade of coin should of been graded a long time ago.

There are still a ton of old time collections/collectors that prefer their coins RAW.

Hard to tell from the photo whether it would bag. If it's simply dipped and still retains the mojority of it's luster, it will most likely slab. It's hard to tell hairlining from your photos. I would personally wrap it in some tissue and put it in a sunny windowsill for a couple of months. Grade right now..............AU53

The coin does look like it has been cleaned, but I have a couple of Seated Quarters that look similar and they are graded by PCGS. My advice is to send it in. That is a little bit better date and they my slab it. It would make it much easier to sell for near full price if it did grade out at PCGS.

I, personally, like it. But then I like nearly all Seated coins!
