Every once in a while it happens. Typically for "damage"

I believe the GSA sold the low enders as bodybaggers.

Including the coins that had one sided bag tone - those
were considered duds by the GSA.

Yes, I have had two. An 1883 and a 1884 for alterted surfaces. Both of them were in their plastic
when I got them but had the plastic cases cracked badly from poor shipping. I broke them out and
submitted both at the same time with several other CC's. I've posted them before here. Now they
reside in the Nevada shaped plastic holders along with 12 others. They sure look good to me and
I do know cc's. May resubmit some day as both are 65's. It did boggle my mind.

    Well,
I have 2 that are still in their orginal holders that might get BB'd for enviromental damage....

I think they are neatly toned, but others might think otherwise......

I'm guessing these coins where at the bottom of the bags and they got alittle wet.....

Hurricane Katrina GSA's? Any chance these coins came from being stored in
    a place that got flooded?

no Katrina coins....had them before that....

I forgot what the reverses look like, but since I didn't photo them they where probabley white--no toning....

No water damage in the cases....these where bought at seperate times from different people....one from ebay and the other
from a dealer at the countyside coin show...

These coins where probably on the bottom of a wet bag in the vault some where in the mint....

WOW! Hard to believe something THAT ugly would get through quality control!
Maybe that would make them worth more?!
