Die Wear

Hi.....I just went through a roll of Arizona quarters. What I noticed on the large tall cactus was that some had no lines on them, some has about half of the lines and some had no lines at all. The ones w/o lines also had mushy background details as well.
I don't know anything about die wear....is that what I might be seeing with these coins?
If so, is there any collector value to them? I'm trying to get educated on die wear and that's the purpose of this question.
You'll have to use your imagination, camera is out with the family at the moment.
Thanks

No, I stink at pictures. The scans I tried were not any better. There's one similar to it on ebay....here and the ones I looked at were like both of these samples, but with variations
inbetween......some with less lines, some no lines, some had crisp lines.
Just wondering, I don't know about dies, but I thought the mint checked the coins for quality as they were making them, and changed worn dies. I don't know about striking through
grease, either. It's as though the dies on these coins have a mind of their own or something considering the other errors found on the P mint coins with 'extra cactus' covering up
the initials on the coin, too.
No big deal, just trying to learn some things about coins.
