Help--any name a cheap camers better than my scanner for ebay???

I got 3 low bids on a super original AU58 Certified coin on EBAY last night.

But another example--same grade, date, luster but dipped IMHO--- soared past retail with 15 bidders at $250 more than mine!!!!

I scanned (dull) an couldn't catch the lovely luster of mine---- he used camera at an angle to show the AU58 luster.

Please anyone--a name or 2 of a decent camera to show the accurately luster and surface quality???????

I don't want to keep withdrawing coins from sale (both examples were 25 hours left)

Allmost any of the cheap Nikons are better than a scanner. Russ has been using a coolpixs for a couple of years for ebay.
BTW about 90% of bid are in the last minute of the auction.

I picked up a used Canon A430 for under $60 on ebay. It has a "super macro" capacity that allows photographs at distances as little as 0.4 inches. It is not their newest model but you can pick one up cheap.

Canon A70 is less than $50 on e-bay. You would just need a tripod and a couple of goose neck desk or floor lamps.
