Louisiana Purchase Exposition medal....help

My wife was cleaning out some stuff, and found this medal she gad gotten a while back.

Grand Prize Louisiana Purchase, not sure if it has any value, but it is a cool piece of Americana.

Do any of the medal experts, have any knowledge about this?

    It's a great looking medal and may be au-unc condition and looks uncleaned.

    Do you have the original issued box, as that will make a huge affect on price!

    I used to buy these boxed in the 80-90's for roughly up to $75... today I see them on EBay at $225+ as the supply on these has dried up!

    It's not paint, I looked at the medal again, and it just seems to be on the photo. and unfortunately no box.
