Dealer Estimate for full set of Peace dollars

Curious....How much typically would a dealer pay for a full set of Peace Dollars in MS63 slabbed - good eye appeal coins. Is black book standard? the blus sheet?

just testing the waters...

Thanks for any and all answers...

There are several variables. It depends on which grading service slabbed the coins, what the coins looked like and IF the dealer has buyers for them.

    Are they certified?

I'd give you blue sheet for stickered PCGS coins but would pay way less for un-stickered coins from third world certifiers, however I would pay for stickered NGC certified coins, but I would pay a different price than for the PCGS ones... Then again if they had a star I would pay a different, but higher price... Say, since we are talking sight unseen, oh, fuh get about it!

  • Important detail Ileft out. Yes all NGS and PCGS. So chances are not a whole collection but maybe pieces depending if dealer has some buyers. Or inventory building...

Thanks. I'll use the black book as a Guide it's just that the markup betwen the black book and PCGS and Ebay are all so wildly different.

Thanks though I appreciate the input. I will call around.
  • Love the humor - I know - Left off an important piece of data - all NGC and PCGS...

I cringe when I see the handmade slabs witha sticker of an HP printer -eck, you just gave a me agood idea - crack em out put em in my own clab and um er certify them a grade higher...if you can't beat em ..join em..

    thanks for the reply.

I don't know....6 grand or so. Alot is going to depend on the '34-S, that's about 40% of the set value in that grade alone. If you have a killer '34-S...it'll help. If it's average....6 grand or so.
