Poll: Coin research information is perfect, must never be questioned, and should be mindlessly copie

Is this the prevailing attitude?

    RWB -

We all have difficult days, especially the researchers of this stuff. Remember, you only get one great day each year in doing American numismatic research.

As for the poll, I would have voted, but I ain't a registered voter...

Have fun at ANA signing your award winning books (that didn't copy anything from anybody).

....I think when that information comes from a highly reputable souce, such as QDB....who has been immersed in coins and networking contacts for generations, you are best to believe what he says.

Even when it does stick a needle into your own opinions.image

Funny you should say that. Recently I quoted QDB's catalog and was quickly shot down by the latest research information on the Planters Bank token. See Thread

Believe nothing that you read unless you can verify it firsthand. The coin business is built on stories people made up over the years to sell coins, not on good research.

    Next poll question:

    All coin discussion should be:

    1) Happy talk

    2) Happy glowing talk

    3) Glowing happy talk

    4) Monkey urine (*)

    (*) optional
