What is the most "oddball" of your collection?

The talk about cards made me think of this...

Since I'm a "cards plus" kinda guy - I have a few areas but this is probably the most oddball and definitely the ugliest:

1952 Baseball Emblems

They were made by the C. McDonald MFG, Co, No Wilbraham, Mass. – copyright – 1952.

image

They can be used to display on your car, bike or used as an ice scraper.

There are 16 teams to the checklist – I put them in the order the teams finished the 1952 season – in the WS – the Dodgers faced the Yanks – Yanks prevailed of course.

American League

1. Yanks
2. Indians
3. White Sox
4. Athletics
5. Senators
6. Red Sox
7. Browns
8. Tigers

National League

1. Dodgers
2. Giants
3. Cardinals
4. Phillies
5. Cubs
6. Reds
7. Braves
8. Pirates

So what ya got? It can be an oddball card or other.
Thanx

I have a lot of oddball Cardinals in my team sets. I would guess that this team set is the most odd and maybe my rarest.

This is the 1988 Topps Cloth Experimental. How many can there be? Not many.

I have a pretty extensive Jerry Rice collection, probably rivals Matts Emmitt set image

This coin has always been my favorite, looks just like Jerry (and Al Sharpton for that matter)

The bazooka one, I just cant believe Rice allowed to have made, just stupid.

Nice to see you around again Mike!!

  • How 'bout a Mark McGwire 70 dollar bill printed by Morris Printing. When Big Mac found out that this company was printing these without his permission he threatened to sue unless they stopped production. I bought this before they quit printing all most 10 years ago.

Since I exclusively collect Topps complete sets, these are oddballs in my collection. I have complete sets of all 3...1981 LAPD Dodgers, 1991 Score Super Stars, and 1991 Score Rising Stars. I can't even recall how I obtained the Score sets. As you can tell by the 3 cards scanned, not many of those " rising stars" rose very high.

  • I bought at card shop about 15 years ago. I pay $25 for this.

  • This is a 1990 BEST minor league card I have held on to for some strange reason. Ed never made it out of the minors. Maybe he found a lucrative career in lawncare maintenance?

Joe, I have the same type of graded coin as well but Emmitt of course. The funny thing is, Emmitt looks like Al Sharpton too image

I always liked this. I don't think PSA will grade it but it would be cool if they did. It's a 1994 Pro Line football schedule. I worked at an auto parts store back then and we had these on the counter as giveaways. Needless to say a bunch went home with me image

That is just what they are called. Actually, it is more like a thin plastic type fabric. They are really unusual.

Reminds me of the Ken Griffey Jr game used batters box dirt from Stadium Club that I pulled a few years ago. It's frightening what people will collect! But I should talk. image

    Some really nice stuff guys!

My next oddball collection - definitely the whiskey decanters.

This is the first one I ever bought back in 1992.

    image

I now have 25 different sports related decanters.

I have so many oddball Ripken items it's hard to think of the weirdest, but here is a signed business card from the Phillies team doctor who treated Cal's broken nose when he broke it prior to the '96 All Star Game..
