I need help on an 1826 Bust Half Dollar!

I recently purchased a Bust half Dollar and since I do not have a reference book on Bust Halves, I was wondering what Overton number would be a Bust Half dollar of 1826 that has "ALF A DOLLAR" on the edge? The H is missing.

Unfortunately I do not have digital camera at this time. (My wife left it at the zoo and it was never turned in to lost and found)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Robert

None of the Overtons go by the edge lettering, so the variety could be any of them.

I don't know why you had the coin leave the house, but I'm pretty sure this one is a gonner.

I still have the coin. It was the camera that my wife lost. I did check out an old copy of the Overton book from the library and it referenced "ALF A DOLLAR" on the edge as being 42. I didn't understand what the 42 was. It was a very old copy.

Try CoinZip and see if your coin matches any of the ones listed for their respected Overton variety.
