Here is a South Africa 2 1/2 shilling I just got for under $10.

From the picture it looks like it may have been messed with, maybe a polish, most of the pieces I've come across have been.
Even so, for practically melt the price is right, especially for such a historic low mintage coin.
At 285,000 struck - yours has the highest mintage of the series!
Issued only 6 years all mintages for this denomination still total less then 1 million coins.
