Both. I hold a compact digital camera (Olympus D-40Z) up to one lens of a stereo microscope. Table lamp on the side for lighting. Microscope is 30x, and I reduce the images a lot.

Both. I hold a compact digital camera (Olympus D-40Z) up to one lens of a stereo microscope. Table lamp on the side for lighting. Microscope is 30x, and I reduce the images a lot.
