Someone out there found a cherry Roll of 1941-D Lincolns

Either Pop reports are wrong or someone scored big time on
a submission. My 1941-D MS-67RB went from a 1/0 coin to
being part of a new crop of 20 MS-67 RB Lincoln Cents. Is
the graders eye's getting better or did someone really find
a VERY nice roll of 1941-D Lincoln cents? Maybe only the
POWER'S that be can throw some light on this upswing in
new Top Pop's.
Mike.

I'm sure there are rolls and rolls of coins like that sitting around in lock boxes in all denoms, not just cents. That's why moderns are so dangerous to buy in top grades. There are just TOO many of them.

For every top pop seated rarity I bought over the past 30 years, not once did a hoard or roll of choice/gem uncs come to the surface to radically change the pops. One additional coin every 5-10 years is more the norm.

But I'll admit the hoard of 1841-0 quarters that were unearthed in the early 1980's came pretty close. Thankfully, I did not own a choice or gem unc 1841-0 at that time. Prior to the hoard being found, a choice unc 1841-0 was a major seated rarity. Following the hoard's dispersal a full blown gem is still a rarity, but MS62 to MS64's are now fairly available.
