PSA is....

...making me wait way too long for my submissions. Next Thursday will be 2 months since my 1st submission was received (5/31) and a month since my second submission was received (7/1). I keep checking and hoping...and seeing a lot of short lead time pops, but to no avail. With the National coming up, I can expect that it may be another 15-20 days before I see something. I have never had a submission at PSA this long.

Maybe it is because I played golf today and had one too many on the course, or maybe it is the heat....or maybe I just feel like bit<chin'! Please, someone throw me a bone and give me some pity!!

I've got one since 5/29 and I don't expect any poppage until at least August 1st. Of course, that doesn't mean I don't check a couple times a day.

what type of cards did you send in? If you send them one sport, from a fairly narrow date range, for example 1972-78, then those subs pop much quicker than a sub with different sports or one with several cards that they don't grade too often(strange oddball or non-popular inserts)

Nope, not yet Matt. Still waiting for 3 free cards for reaching 75% on my set. Logged in 5/27, which is 42 business days as of today.

I'm giving you the same explanation I have received several times after seeing people here and other friends and dealers I know getting back sub after sub before me, sometimes months ahead (and we're talking the same $5 special, not different tiers) and calling PSA and complaining about it.

If it is a card that they haven't graded before, it is going to hold the submission up because they have a couple of people who just get the submission ready for grading and who, if it's some esoteric issue or an extra super duper atomic explosive xfractor mirror red that just doesn't get submitted too often, then they have to verify it is the correct version/variety of that card via research (online, catalogs, etc...) and if not in their internal catalog, enter that card with it's own unique number.

And, you still haven't waited as long as my last one, which I just had pop this week that was received on 5/15, not that it will make you feel any better. The reason it took so long, my friend threw in some autographed racing cards and inserts and low numbered baseball xfractors that had never been submitted to PSA before on what was mostly a football submission.

Drew...you give me hope that I may get one of the submissions back in time to put under the Christmas tree as a gift to myself...image

I feel like metalmike as many beers as I have popped on this one thread...I only wish I could rant uncontrollably as well as he does, though.image

I'm waiting for a 17 card modern sub since 5/29 - All for one of my registry sets - kind of makes me no longer care about the registry if it takes this long!

I couldn't have said it better myself!! My McGwire Master Set will have over 1700 cards once these submissions pop, but I bet I haven't bought 2 or 3 more cards in the past month. The frustration in getting these back is slowing me down for the next go round of $5 submission specials.

I guess I'm not the only one.
9 free vouchers for the 75% set completion was received May 28th, nothing yet.
This is surprising because I had two 25 card June special subs that had amazing three day turnarounds.
I asked PSA what is the turnaround for vouchers and they said 45 business days.

Exactly. It's been 42 business days and counting for just 3 T218 cards. I did a bulk sub of 65 cards (also T218's) that popped in 5 business days, and I started a thread praising them. I now take that praise back.
  • It seems like a lot of the recent Pops have been vintage cards. Modern subs seem to be coming back slower, at least from what I've seen over the last couple of weeks on the boards.
My vintage sub popped last week and I have a small modern sub still pending. Both were logged in on the same day.

Not that I'm complaining, my subs were logged in on 7/7 and my pre 1972 and renewal subs are already done.
  • One T207 submitted on 5/28 and nothing yet. At this point, I couldn't even tell you who was on the card.

The problem is that even though they take so long to "research" your card, that you probably labeled correctly on the form, they still screw up the cert label.

PSA is..................dropping the ball for not at least slabbing printing errors authentic. Beckett is worse tho- they give almost all wrongbacks a 3 for centering. Well, dee dee dee of course it is off center it's a error!
