Tokens question......

What are "Hard Times" tokens and how/why do they differ from others? I know this may be a stupid question, but I know nothing about them and find them (all tokens) quite interesting. Thank you in advance.

consarefun: I have to admit, YOU ARE TO BLAME! I have seen most of your posts as well as your newest purchases and found them to be very interesting. So, I started looking at some tonight.....but know very little about them. Thanks for the links and getting me hooked on tokens!

Is there as much counterfeiting with tokens as there is with coins? I know they are everywhere, but was just curious.

I would imagine with the very rare tokens there may be some counterfeits but I think most are
with coins. I have found lately that they are starting to artificially tone the tokens and/or clean them
which gives the brass and copper an unnatural color.

What color is "unnatural color" of brass and copper?

I only have one that is re colored in my opinion.
The cleaned, re toned or at's look pretty much like when the Lincolns are AT'd


Usually, if you need to question the color that means its not natural

the ones on either side are natural.

The only reason I went ahead and purchased the AT token is because it is a Rarity 5
otherwise I walk away!
