How long would you wait for payment before sending another invoice?

Just curious - if you sent an invoice right after an auction ends and it's been a few days with no payment, how long before you try again or contact the buyer some other way?

Depends, if it's pay-pal only or check. Usually I wait a week if I don't have any notification from the buyer as to when the payment was shipped. If I have been notified I assume it's in the post office's hands and will wait about 2 weeks.

I don't send an invoice after the auction ends unless I'm asked to. I wait at least a week before sending the first one. --Jerry

Paypal only in this case. I should have also mentioned that the buyer's feedback has lots of "fast payment!"s from sellers.

Big world out there, alot can happen. Relax, it will take care of itself.

Remember it is vacation time. Give the buyer a chance. After a week, I'd send a follow up invoice with a note saying "just wanted to be sure you got this."

I've had sellers send me an invoice each day after the end of the auction. Pisses me off. I intentionally don't make fast payment when that happens.

If I get no response from the buyer, I send a followup invoice at seven days. Most of the time. The exception is some of my regulars who never respond and just send a check.
