What does it mean when a Paypal payment is unclaimed/pending? First time I have seen that. I paid for 2 auctions and one went thru fine and one says unclaimed??????

I have had that happen to me as well, the receiver needs to accept the funds.
Could be a new Paypal account that is receiving the funds?

It could mean several things.

None of them necessarily bad.

It will square away, usually in a day or two.

On a semi-related PP subject:

Since PP now makes buyers use their balance before a credit-card can be selected
as the payment method, some folks are opening email accounts, sending their own
money to the email addy, and refunding the payment to themselves immediately
after they do their credit-card transaction.

Such a payment can sit indefinitely in the unregistered email. It is a good way to
briefly drain the account without having to wait for the money to be transferred back
from the bank.
