Just another short eBay rant

Sold a 1966 Mantle on eBay last week. Auction ended Tuesday. Guy sends an email asking for any similar condition commons. I email him back saying I have a few that I will throw in for free (he slightly overpaid IMO). He finally pays Friday night. I package Saturday and ship first thing this morning. He sends an email today asking why he has not received his card. Sorry but my Delorean was broke down and Doc Brown hasn't fixed it yet.

Of course that email was followed by another email, "Will ship to Taiwan?". Send me my mail order bride and I will send you the 2008 Topps Chrome Blue REF's you want.

  • I had a guy over the weekend email me 8 times because he had not recieved his item yet. He won the item on the 8th. Finally paid on the 16th. I shipped it on the 18th.

Guess I need to get a shipping contract with the United Federation of Planets.

I just emailed a seller looking for my card it was already in my set...and I had scanned it in image
  • I have done that too. Requested a tracking number and the card was sitting on my desk right next to the monitor.

This is probably why many of the high volume sellers rarely respond to emails. With some of the sellers, I really wonder if they've ever even opened their inbox.
  • I have noticed it is getting worse and worse on the shipping time crybabies. Just got another email from another buyer. She paid last Tuesday the item shipped Thursday to an APO address and she is wondering why she has not gotten it yet. When I told her APOs have to go through customs and can take alot longer she got mad saying I was just making that up as they do not have to go through customs.
  • Forgot to mention that the buyer lives in California. I am in Louisiana. Guess he expected the card to travel about 1500 miles in 2 days.
  • Lol, LSU are you a pro ebay re-seller? You reference working from home often.
