In 1997, MLB started using specially designed baseballs for the LDS and LCS; do they still do that?

It used to be the league baseballs (black stamped NL or blue stamped AL) were used for the LCS and LDS, and then (since 1978) a special World Series baseball was used. But then I remember in 1997 they used balls specifically for the NLDS, ALDS, NLCS, and ALCS. Do they still do that or was that a one year only experiment?
