Strange plastic film behind PSA graded cards?
Hi all,
I bought a small lot of PSA graded cards recently, and a few of the cards have what appears to be a piece of plastic on the back of the cards (but inside the PSA slab). It is almost like the inner sleeve used by BGS, but it is a little crinkly and very distracting when trying to view the back of the cards. I have hundreds of PSA graded cards, but I have never seen cards like this before. Is this something that others have experienced? Is this normal, or did PSA "mess up" these cards when slabbing them? Any thoughts or experiences you could share with me would be appreciated. Thanks!

That little baggie should always be behind the card. The worst is when they screw up and put it in front of the card.
<< <i>Thanks, Matt. These were 1956 Topps baseball cards, so it seems unlikely that the cards were too small or the proper slab wasn't available, but at least it helps to know that PSA puts plastic film behind the cards sometimes. Thanks again. >>
You're welcome.
I have also seen that with modern cards such as 2000 Sp Authentic football. For some reason they put the plastic sheet behind alot of them when the proper slab was used.
