    Dear Louisville Slugger,

We are not going to ruin perfectly nice bats by letting any baseballs hit them.

    Sincerely,
The 7th, 8th, and 9th place hitters in the Boston lineup

    Dear Africa,

We know how it feels to starve too. We haven't been able to find the plate in years either.

    Sincerely,

The #3, 4, and 5 starters for the Yankees.

The Yankees are 8-2 in games Chamberlain starts and 3-1? in games Ponson starts. Ok, you're right on the number 5 starter, Rasner. Hey one out of three ain't bad (for a Sox fan).

Correction: Yanks are 4-0 in games Ponson has started image

anyway, that one was almost as bad as this one

Q: Why was the Lion walking around the jungle eating big piles of crap?

A: Because he just swallowed a Boston fan and was trying to get the taste out of his mouth.

If you're going to make fun of a Yankee fan's intelligence, you may want to spell "sited" better first image

So your #3 and #4 pitchers have started 14 games all season? That's it? Or are you, perhaps, leaving out some of the more unsuccessful pitchers that used to be #3, 4, or 5 starters? Here's a reminder in case you've repressed these names:
Phil Hughes: The Yankees are 1-5 when he has started this year.
    Ian Kennedy: 2-7.
    Kei Igawa: 0-1.
    Dan Giese: 0-2.
Compared to these guys, Rasner at 5-7 isn't all that bad.

By the way, 7-9 hitters in the Sox lineup tonight went 5-9, 3 runs, 4 RBI (including a 2-R HR) and 5 BB. If you're keeping score at home, that's a .714 OBP.

The Yankees have about a 12-2 record with our CURRENT 3 and 4 starters. I thought that's what was being ragged about.

I know it smarts for you that we don't suck like we did in April and May image

It's all good . . . just as long as you go back to sucking in August and September. image
