the white whale I've been stalking for a while to complete my 1948 Exhibit HOF set, finally got one yesterday for $150.

Seriously--even in the pre-AbMaster era of The Sultan of Swat--isn't this one of the baddassest cards ever??

I mean Babe F'n Ruth with 10 Bats!!!

side note--

This variation card was the 33rd of what was supposed to be a 32-card set (including the orginal Ruth batting card). Added posthumously to set after Babe's death in August of 1948.
