Does anybody have any experience in crossing SCD slabbed cards over to PSA? What kind of rep do (did) they have?

Crack em. If you submit in the holder you are only making a donation to PSA's minimum grade not met fund.

You should be ok as long as you stick to the red oval SCDA (Sports Collectors Digest Authentic) holders.

The blue oval holders should be avoided, as they belong to a company (Sports Cards Direct) that bought SCDA from Sports Collectors Digest, and did not hold to the same grading standards.

Thanks for the input. This would definitely be a crack and re-submit. However, the card I'm looking at has the blue oval SD SportsFan speaks of. Think I'll pass on this one.

If it is an expensive high grade card it is probably trimmed.

That's a smart choice IMO. Everything I've heard about the blue-oval SCDA is bad. I don't think they're as bad as Pro-Grading, but they're closer to Pro than they are to PSA.

  • Check out this SCD slab. You think that card might move around just a little bit?
