Standing Liberty Quarter with doubling. Any premium?

I just discovered this on my 1920-D Standing Liberty Quarter.

The coin itself grades F, is of no special rarity. But I found some doubled letters. Probably machine doubling, isn't it? Is there a premium for this?

Nice die crack through the date!

FYI - the first 1916 pattern quarters were struck from a pair of doubled dies (obverse and reverse). The mint's workmanship on all three of the first 1916 patterns was awful.

Neat machine doubling... not sure about the premium, but the 20-D itself is a great date to own.

  • I'm with the "machine doubling" crowd on this one. Nice die break, nice date, nice coin!

machine gets my vote noting an ol cleaning too as the recesses are too clean and those spots are a concern
